Karen's Passion
Meet Piper & Leo. As an advocate for dog rescues, Karen is always fostering or rescuing a dog in need of a good, loving home. She welcomes them patiently and with love to help them live their best lives. Over the past 21 years, she has personally adopted 6 dogs in need, and donated towards many more. Karen works closely with Barks and Meows Rescue based in Chatham.

Karen comes from a long line of entrepreneurs and educators. Her passion for both is evident in her business. As owner of KC Training Plus she teaches proper First Aid and CPR techniques. As a former nurse, she has seen first hand the importance of these life-saving techniques.
Karen is passionate about health care
As a nurse for over 25 years, operating room technician, and professor in health care, Karen has a passion to help. She cares for people and makes their lives better.
Karen is an advocate for fairness and equal representation
Karen studied and completed the paralegal program where she fought to right the wrongs against people. Fairness and equal representation has always been important to Karen in her personal and professional life. She is not afraid to fight for what is right.
Karen's past time
Karen enjoys singing & playing piano. She is trained in voice, theory, and in piano through the Royal Conservatory of Music.
Karen's newest rescue
Meet Karen's newest rescue, Patsy Cline. Patsy, a pure bread Chinese shar pei, was found as a stray & was set to be euthanized when Karen rescued her hours before her 4 1/2 year light was to be extinguished. Patsy is thriving in her furever home.
